Inadria is a semi-realistic wolf role play. Semi meaning that 1, wolves communicate with each other and 2, the landscape is made up of extreme climates and nothing like it is probable to happen in real life. After all, extreme realism wouldn't be any fun!
As of now there are no packs, but land can be claimed or created and they can be formed with enough supporters. Limits to the size is left to decide by the pack's leaders, since it is up to them to accept new wolves as members. That said, packs may become much larger than they usually would be. Because litter sizes here are much smaller than in reality, there can be many breeding pairs instead of just one all throughout the site.
1. whether or not the mother survived the birthing
2. how many pups were born (one, two, or three)
3. if the pups were born healthy, sick, or stillborn/dead afterwards
4. general color, which will be either the mother's or the father's
5. pup gender
After being informed of the results, pups are not born right away. The two users then decide who gets to play what pup, and then may create accounts and profiles for the corresponding pups. If a pup is unwanted they can be made adoptable and given to another user.
For the first few seasons, pups are still reliant on their parents.
Once they go into their first year, they become gawky adolescents that begin to learn to survive on their own.
The adult wolf has grown into its frame, and is at the peak of their life. At this point they are more experienced at fighting and hunting, and will be on the search for a potential mate.

Roleplaying:: Though there will be veteran members, there are also people new to roleplaying. For those unfamiliar with the process, here's how you go about it!
Once your character's application is accepted, you are free to begin your own thread to start your time in Inadria. First thing you must do is choose which territory you will post in. Territories are divided into five regions. By clicking on a region, you will be shown the sub-boards, one of which you will create your thread in. To make a thread available for anyone to post in, label it (OPEN) after the title. In order to make a private thread simply put the name of the user you are rping with in the title. When you post, you will be writing about your character in third person. You will dictate what they do, what they think, and how they interact with others. The word minimum for the site is 125, so once you've reached this create the thread.
Other members will reply with their own characters, and you'll respond, going back and forth until their meeting is finished.

Fighting Guide:: One of the most botched up things I've seen in roleplaying is the fighting. But hopefully this short guide helps, so there's no need to worry. ^^
Definitions::
1. Powerplaying:: Powerplaying is when one character controls
character belonging to someone else. An example is something small, like a wolf's reaction to something, or something obvious
and as big as making someone else's character drop dead.
2. Metaplaying:: Metaplaying is when a user makes their character conscious of something that they couldn't possibly know. For instance, a member reading the profile of someone else's character and making their own wolf aware of some dark secret they were never told of in character.
3. Godmodding:: Godmodding means that a character is god like. They could be super strong, super fast, just in generally invincible like a god. This is impossible in real life, and a wolf wouldn't land a blow every single time and take no damage when being attacked.
The first and most important thing is that whenever you interact with someone else's character, anything that directly affects them is a suggestion. Word your post accordingly. Going along with this, you don't decide what kind of damage happens as a result.
Nope. Parentheses clash with the rest of the post. And for all Fido knows, Bitey could do some sort of super ninja flip and evade the bite. Instead of getting ahead of themselves, Fido's player should split the post in half and wait to see Bitey's reaction to the lunge and then try pinning him down.
Once again, you don't get to decide what kind of damage your opponent receives. This is ultimately up to the rper how their character is hurt (using logic, of course). Everything should be a suggestion.
As a side note, wolf claws are dull and not very useful in fights. Instead of scratching their opponent like a feline would, lifting a paw wouldn't do much more than throw the wolf off balance. On the other hand, paws can be used for pinning down and fish hooking.
And it's also pretty unlikely that a wolf would win their first fight, unless their opponent was also weak. Strategy and technique comes with experience, giving older wolves the upper hand. But, over-thinking also exposes a moment of weakness.

Example 1:
Fido jumped at Bitey to bite at his neck.
(If it works)
Fido trapped Bitey on the ground (attempted to).

Example 2:
Fido grabbed at Bitey's paw and if he succeeded pulled him to the ground, breaking his ankle.

Time::
Here in Inadria we observe liquid time. Yes, this does mean that your character can have multiple threads in different areas, but not to excess. Because this isn't a fancy-shmancy forum, there is no way to automatically show how your character has aged. Because of this, you yourself will need to keep track of how your wolf gets older. Though it will be hard for staff to monitor your posts, a pup that never grows up or and old wolf that doesn't die is pretty obvious and easy to spot.
One real-life month equals one season in Inadria. This means that every real year equals approximately 3 Inadria years.
Due to the fact that roleplay threads can span over many years, it's up to the users how to pace their posts. If while your thread is still going the season changes, you can either do a weird time-skip or keep roleplaying in the season the thread started.
When I say liquid time, it does not mean that your character can be in multiple places at the same time.

Reproduction and Life Cycle::
In Inadria, unlike in real life, there are no rules about breeding pairs. The mating season occurs once in an Inadrian year, every winter. During this time, males court females and produce future pups. Once there is a pairing, the user of one of the wolves in the couple may purchase a Litter in the shop once the item has been put up for sale. Then, they must message an administrator to receive the results of their breeding. The results will be based 100% on chance, and will determine 1. whether or not the mother survived the birthing
2. how many pups were born (one, two, or three)
3. if the pups were born healthy, sick, or stillborn/dead afterwards
4. general color, which will be either the mother's or the father's
5. pup gender
After being informed of the results, pups are not born right away. The two users then decide who gets to play what pup, and then may create accounts and profiles for the corresponding pups. If a pup is unwanted they can be made adoptable and given to another user.
